- Click on Start and then click on Run or Press Win Key + R to open Run Dialog Box.
- Type cmd and press enter.
- Type ipconfig /all for Windows Xp and ipconfig /allcompartments /all for Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8.
- You’ll see the detailed description of your TCP/IP v4 and TCP/IP v6.
Here navigate to DNS Servers and check the value. See below:
As in my DNS Servers setting, Google DNS are set. Means My system is not affected. To check whether you are affected or not match the value of your DNS Server with the malicious ROGUE DNS Server list. If value matches with that you are affected else not.
How to check for Mac OSX:
- Click on the Apple icon from top left.
- Select System Preferences from there.
- System Preferences dialog box will open. Navigate to Network Icon here and double-click it. ( You can directly type Network in the search field present in the top right corner )
- Network settings dialog box opens. Check out the DNS Server values and match them with the malicious ROGUE DNS Server list. If matches then your system is affected else not.
