Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1 users will be getting free upgrade in first year
Biggest announcements of the yesterday’s event of Microsoft is about it’s free upgrade to Windows 10. Microsoft made a free upgrade offer possible for all users of Windows 7, Windows 8.1 & Windows Phone 8.1, but this upgrade will be free only for its first year. All devices which are running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 or Windows Phone 8 or Windows Phone 8.1 will be getting Windows 10 as a free service subscription.
Devices which will be upgraded to Windows 10 once, Microsoft will continue to keep it current for the supported lifetime of the device and that’s too free. Terry Myerson, Microsoft’s Executive Vice President said:
We’ll deliver new features when they’re ready, not waiting for the next major release. We think of Windows as a Service – in fact, one could reasonably think of Windows in the next couple of years as one of the largest Internet services on the planet.
So all customers as stated will enjoy the taste of Windows 10 on their desktops, tablets and as well on phones. Happy Windows computing! Stay tuned. Enjoy Windows 10 by becoming Windows Insider.
