HTC Desire Eye, World’s first 13MP front camera smartphone

HTC Desire Eye announced by HTC as “Selfie Phone” with powerful 13MP front camera with dual LED flash. After Nokia’s Lumia 730, this one is the second smartphone that announced for Selfie Lovers. HTC is now primarily focusing on the camera features as the users love for selfie grows. Desire Eye almost have looks similar to HTC One E8 but with improvements in camera. Both camera, front and rear are 13MP with autofocus feature and microphone with capability to record video at 1080p@30fps.

With such incredible quality cameras, it’ll be great to chat over Skype and making video calls. There will be no bargain in the picture and video quality of Desire Eye. More focus of HTC is on photography with this smartphone where users will be able to take personal photographs too with high quality with help of wide angle lens of front camera.  It features wider 20mm lens with f/2.2 aperture in front while f/2.0 aperture and 28mm lens in rear.

Dedicated HTC Eye Experience and new Zoe apps will be an addition to the phone where user can push the power of both camera to the fullest. HTC Desire flagship continues with HTC Desire Eye and will be coming on AT&T exclusively. Pricing and date of launch not yet announced but will be soon available.

In Pics (via HTC), we are having two versions of HTC Desire eye as one in Blue and other one in Red and expected release will be later in November this year.

Desire Eye is powered with 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2400mAh battery. It’s equipped with 3 microphones, one-one for both front and rear camera whereas one at bottom, all with noise cancellation feature. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat with latest HTC Sense. HTC wants to give competition to its rivals with power specs of Desire Eye even to Sony Xperia Z series with water resistance feature of upto 1 meter for half an hour capability.

While looking at Storage and memory, it is powered up with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB. Desire Eye is a powerful smartphone with 5.2 inch screen but is not the compact one. It measures 5.97 x 2.91 x 0.33 in. If popularity of phone grows soon will be seen on other network too.
