  1. You make an account on their website and pay a $5 deposit. This amount is later added as your shipping credit, so you don’t have to worry about losing the money.
  2. Then, you will get a US address with a unique suite ID number. According to this number, the incoming packages will be connected to your account and stored in the Planet Express warehouse.

  1. To this address you can order laptops from different US stores, for example, Amazon, BestBuy, NewEgg, and so on (tips for online stores you can find in their blog post).

The Planet Express account is free in the Free Package Plan (your packages will be stored for 10 days for free at their warehouse). If you want to save more money on shipping use consolidation (see more info below), you will have to upgrade your account to the Consolidated package plan. It costs $10 per month or $50 per year and your packages will be stored for up to 45 days for free.

What Is The Package Consolidation?

If you order from multiple stores, you can use package consolidation service. They will make 1 package from 5 (for example). This saves you even more money because Planet Express workers ty to minimalize the dimensions of the final package and also its weight.

For cheaper goods, the company recommends Planet Mail Economy, Planet Mail Express, and USPS methods. If you want to ship a laptop, use carriers like DHL and FedEx and add the insurance.

What About Customs?

Keep in mind that even with Planet Express, you will not be able to avoid customs duties for 100 %. Basically, it depends on whether your package is checked by customs officers or not. India has no de minimis value. This means that you have to pay duties and taxes from every imported package checked by the customs.

Don’t You Have Enough Time? Use Shop For Me
