YouTube enters into “2160 p 4K” Ultra HD Technology this Christmas
Google owned Video Streaming Giant YouTube has added one new option in their video settings this week. All user will see a new entry of “2160p 4k” on UHD uploaded videos. YouTube made this significant move and will be praised by all 4k Ultra HD technology lovers. HDTVtest reported that:
This update is likely part of Google’s forward-thinking strategy as the US technology giant prepares for an explosion in ultra high-def content owing to an increase in the variety of consumer products that can shoot 4K videos, such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet and Sony’s FDR-AX1 4K handycam camcorder.
Earlier it was not directly included into the Video Settings option rather user has to go for Original in order to watch in video in 4k resolution in case video is that compatible.
As YouTube supported 4k videos since 2010 but this time a direct option including 1440p has been made available implicitly in settings. User can view and enjoy videos over 1080p where both 4096×2160 and 3840×2160 will be supported.
Even this resolution option can be seen on FreeMake Video Downloader download Window where it prompts to download all resolution included in the downloading video. Have a look:
Here you can see that Video Resolution of 1440p, 2160p are available for download and there is a huge difference in the size of an 1080p video and an 2160p 4k video. So it’s time to go beyond 1080p. It’s best present for all Ultra HD technology lovers.
