Microsoft Security Essentials Beta available for public
Microsoft Security Essentials from Microsoft Corporation is a free for genuine Windows users with a simple, sleek design and easy to install & use is now upgraded itself to 4.0 beta. Microsoft Security Essentials was MSE 2.0 last week and now its updated to MSE 4.0 beta update.
Microsoft made available Microsoft Security Essentials Beta program for Windows users with new simple UI somewhat looking similar to Windows Defender in Windows 8.
What’s New in the Microsoft Security Essentials Beta?
Microsoft Security Essentials beta with 4.0.1111.0 version is having following new features and enhancements:
- Enhanced protection through automatic malware remediation: The Beta program will clean highly impacting malware infections automatically, with no required user interaction.
- Enhanced performance: The Beta includes many performance improvements to make sure your PC performance isn’t compromised.
- Simplified UI – Simplified UI makes Microsoft Security Essentials Beta easier to use.
- New and improved protection engine: The updated engine offers enhanced detection with cleanup capabilities and better performance.

In above image we can see that Computer Status Protected in MSE 2.0 changed to PC Status Protected in MSE 4.0. And Default Actions named settings has been removed, and Microsoft SpyNet has also given a new name as Microsoft Active Protection Service.
